Personal Information Collection Statement

The Types of Personal Data That We Collect
The Hong Kong Society of Wargamers, (“HKSW” or “the Society,”) may collect
and process the following categories of personal data about you:

Information: such as your name, postal address, email address, and
telephone number;

Identity Data:
including your date of birth, Hong Kong identification number, or
government-issued identification; and
·
Personal Data in
Photos/Video/other materials (if any).
In normal circumstances the personal data we collect will be limited to
your name and preferred means of electronic communication with the Society
by email or telephone.
The personal data that you provide and held by us will be used to
facilitate the operation of the Society, including, but not limited to:

Informing members
of the affairs of the Society including information on: forthcoming
events; details of Normal, Annual, and Extraordinary Meetings of the
Society; rules of Society competitions; and other items of interest to
members;

The maintenance of
membership lists and accounts of the Society; and
·
For the purpose of
promotion of HKSW.
In accordance with Data Protection Principle 2 (2)
of Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Cap 486, Laws of
Hong Kong, all practicable steps will be taken to ensure
that personal data is not kept longer than is necessary for the fulfilment
of the purpose (including any directly related purpose) for which the data
is or is to be used.
The provision of personal data is voluntary, but if you do not provide
sufficient data we may not be able to process your membership of the
Society.
No Personal data shall be collected from minors without prior consent of
parents or guardians.
The Society will not transfer your personal data to third parties without
your consent except:

In compliance with Laws and Court Orders of Hong Kong SAR including, but
not limited to, the Societies Ordinance Cap. 151 S.15(1); and
l
To parties and/or service providers relevant and necessary for the
purposes stated in the above mentioned paragraph 2.
You have a right of access and correction with respect to your personal
data as provided for in sections 18 and 22, and Data Protection Principle
6 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
We may update this Personal Data (Privacy) Notice from time to time. We
will notify you of any changes by posting the new notice on this page. You
are advised to review this notice periodically for any changes. Changes to
this notice are effective when they are posted on this page.
